GrimStar holds up to her name, when she speaks, it's rare that anything good actually leaves her mouth. The world is bleak in her eyes and always will be. Her only true loyalty is to her clan, avoiding having attachments to anyone besides them. Her cold, outer-shell is hard to bypass but once you do, it's easy to see that she acts the way she does because of the hurt she's experienced in her lifetime. She is brutal towards people who betray her trust, you can expect no mercy from her if you ever cross her. She is savage in fights, never holding back for anyone or anything. When GrimStar was born, she was named for the fact that she constantly appeared as if she was frowning. Even as she grew older, the constant sour expression never seemed to leave her face and made her seem unapproachable. The only ones that really would spend time around her were her siblings. Unfortunately, her playmates didn't last long. At only a few moons old, an adder had slipped into the nursery and poisoned then devoured all but one of her siblings, BriarKit. Luckily, their mother awoke and killed the snake before it could do anymore damage. GrimStar was traumatized upon realizing her siblings had died right beside her and she never awoke the whole time. This made her weary and cautious of the world around her, knowing danger was around every corner. After being made an apprentice, twoleg kits claimed the life of her father. They were distraught upon finding his body on a patrol, causing GrimPaw and BriarPaw to retreat further into themselves, associating with no one but each other and their mother. Then finally, when the thunderpath claimed even their mother's life, they grew so cold and distant, everyone believed their hearts had actually frozen over. GrimFace was named the deputy of the clan, while her brother, BriarPad was named a warrior. Eventually, after the death of HalfStar, GrimStar became leader.
